Manisa Industrial Park held its 11th Ordinary General Assembly on 29 March 2018. President Sait Türek reassured.

The 11th Ordinary General Assembly of Manisa Industrial Park was started with the formation of the council. In the General Assembly, in which the representatives of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology were also present, Abdül Aziz Meydan was elected as the Chairman of the Council, Huriye Uslu and Ali Bayrakçeken were elected as the Members of the Council. After the moment of silence and the National Anthem, the presentation of the Board of Directors Activity Report was started.

At the meeting held in Manisa Industrial Park Conference Hall with the participation of 123 industrialists, Manisa IP Chairman of the Board Dr. Sait Türek made a comprehensive presentation to the industrialists in the hall about the services carried out in 2017 and planned to be performed in 2018.

In his speech, President Türek said, “Recent global developments, terrorist incidents that increased security concerns, and the transformation of relations with the EU into a problematic process, have been in our memories as the negativities that forced our country and disturbed the business world in 2017. However, despite all these negativities, the Turkish economy showed a faster growth performance than expected in 2017. For there will be those of us who will remember, after the 2.9 percent growth in 2016, 2017 was entered with a 3 percent growth expectation. However, in the third quarter of the year, our economy achieved a growth rate of 11.1% and showed a great performance. When we look at the data of our region, compared to the previous year; Our foreign trade volume increased by 10 percent to reach 8.4 billion dollars, the number of employees to 50 thousand, our natural gas consumption to 235 million Sm3 per year and our electricity consumption value to 1.3 billion kWh, an increase of 20 percent compared to the previous year. On the other hand, I would like to proudly share that in 2017, 170 thousand m2 of land was allocated to 4 companies, one of which is a foreign partner, for their investments of 64 million dollars. It gives us hope and increases our motivation that the big companies around the world continue their investments in our region with determination.”

After the presentation, the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Boards were unanimously acquitted. According to the agenda; The new Board of Directors and Supervisory Board were elected. Sait Cemal Türek, Chairman of the Board of Manisa IP, reaffirmed his confidence and was re-elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for a period of 4 years as per the newly changed IP Law.
