Manisa CCI OIZ fulfills all the many requirements of a modern industrial zone. This promotes job creation which in turn contributes to our country’s economy as well as to local development. It creates added value and gives rise to an increase of possibilities for sub-industries. In this way it fuels major economic activity and attracts new investors. In order to address these continuous investment demands, expansion sites have been created.

Early in 2007 we began an expansion area of 450 ha. We now have a developed area of 960 ha. where 163 enterprises belonging to 128 participants operate. MOIZ has established connections with both the European and world economies and pursues a sustainable economic development strategy with sound policies.

Manisa OIZ has made significant efforts towards the resolution of Turkey’s most important question; “How the triad of production-exports-employment should be developed.” We will continue: to create industrial structures which will operate according to environmental guidelines; to employ qualified labour; to attach importance to R&D; to produce new technology and to retain its place in international markets.

There are many companies here on our Zone that are both leaders within their sectors and stand among the largest companies of Turkey. The following companies have one-hundred percent foreign capital investment: Indesit Company (Italy); Bosch (Germany); Rexam (GB); Imperial Tobacco (GB); EMS-Minibar (Spain); Commital Isı (Italy); Bitron (Italy); and Componenta Döktaş (Finland), C.A.P.P. Plastik (İtalya)Schneider (Fransa), ILPEA (İtalya)  . Companies with foreign partners are as follows: Hayes Lemmerz Jantaş-Jant (USA); Hayes Lemerz İnci-Jant (USA); Oerlikon (Switzerland); Vestel Elektronik A.Ş. (The Netherlands); Teleset (Switzerland); Messer Aligaz (Germany) ; Çukurova Kimya (Panama); Selkasan (The Netherlands); Ruba Fermuar (Belgium); İpek Kağıt (USA); Daussan Çukurova (France); Tire Kutsan (Austria). All of the companies listed here produce world-class brands.

Site allocations within Phases IV and V of our Zone are on-going. We anticipate that the number of foreign direct capital companies will increase by 50% over the next two years and that we will see the number of enterprises increase from the present 133 to 300. Once all the development areas in the expansion sites have been taken we expect the number of employees on MOIZ will increase from 26,500 to 45,000.

Given our country’s industrial policies and its stable economy, we will continue to provide attractive conditions in these expansion sites to bring more foreign investment.

According to a survey undertaken by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, the number of companies in our Zone classed as being within the top 500 companies in Turkey rose from 9 in 2000 to 16 in 2006. According to the same survey, in 2006; 11 companies among the second top 500 companies of Turkey were also located here.

Exports from Manisa OIZ are sent to more than 100 countries in the world. In 2007 total foreign trade volume was US$ 6.3 billion.

Manisa OIZ‘s success has not come about by chance; it has been dependent on many factors:

- Manisa CCI OIZ assumes the following approach: to update identified targets in line with the latest developments; to maintain a policy that ensures the lowest input costs to industrial facilities; and to enhance the competitive power of its industrialists by continuously monitoring prevailing conditions.
- Risky investments and land speculation is not permitted.
- The industry spectrum is concentrated on advanced technology and high added value; it is not confined to a few classical sectors.
- Manisa OIZ is well prepared for the future with its efficient infrastructure, social facilities and other supporting factors.
- Manisa OIZ tries to convert capital from within the city, within the country at large and from overseas into industrial investment.

Every one of these factors has contributed to the present success of the Manisa OIZ. Our target is to continue these efforts, to strive for the development of our industrialists and to keep abreast of latest developments.
